MIAMI

Miami Lakes is a suburban town in Miami known for its many public parks, thriving economy, and quiet residential communities.  Miami Lakes offers plenty of options for shopping, food, entertainment, and green spaces for outdoor walks – making it a great place for families to raise their children and aging adults to enjoy life at home.

The southeast town of Miami Lakes originated as a dairy farm and is now one of the rare places in Miami where you will see live cattle while running an errand at your local bank or grocery store.  The Miami Lakes cows are memorialized throughout the neighboorhood with life-sized cow sculptures, wrapped in unique art for locals and tourists to marvel at.

Miami Lake’s community is not only big on helping local businesses thrive but also providing activities for all ages to enjoy. From park programs for kids at one of their many parks, or senior clubs for aging adults to socialize, exercise, and maintain a sense of community.

The town’s hub for fun and entertainment is centrally located at Main Street. As the name implies, this long stretch of road has a nice balance of local businesses and popular chain restaurants for all to explore. A movie theatre, boutique clothing stores, and service shops are what draw crowds from all over to meet at Miami Lake’s social hub.

The small-town feel of Miami Lakes transports local urban dwellers to a calmer and quieter side of Miami, giving them an escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Although you won’t find any beaches on this part of town, you can work out, sit in the shade, and take neighborhood strolls near one of the 101 lakes nestled between vibrant green lawns and lush tree branches. Its green spaces like these that offer folks a break from South Florida’s blistering heat, and a relaxing environment to live, work and play.

Neighboring cities West of 1-95 include Opa-locka, Miami Gardens, Miramar, and Hialeah. Head further East from 1-95 and you’ll discover Golden Glades, North Miami Beach, and North Miami – along with stretches of palm trees and beautiful beaches.

Mind & Mobility Home Care Centers currently provides in-home assistance and outpatient therapy at their community centers in Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, and West Palm Beach.
