Safe MobilityTM is a multifaceted fall prevention program that uses evidence-based exercises to reduce the risk of falling. The exercise programs, which are successful, include strengthening exercises, flexibility activities, core strengthening and dynamic balance training such as Tai Chi techniques. Treatment can be performed individually or in groups.
Who is Safe MobilityTM for?
Research indicates that a cumulative effect of multiple interacting factors increases a fall risk in any one individual. Some of these risk factors include:
- History of Falls

How long will it take to see results?
Safe MobilityTM is a long-term intervention that requires interaction with a physical therapist individually or in a group setting. Activities are progressed to an independent routine to maintain gains achieved in the structured setting. Although treatment time frames vary based upon a number of risk factors for falls and specific medical conditions, an individual will typically experience an improvement in balance within 3-5 sessions.
